Here we are again with our second review of the day. This time it is a review of "The Amazing Spider Man" Now its hard to keep the word Amazing in the title sense it is a piece of shit. When i first heard they were remaking "Spiderman" I was excited. Spiderman honestly needed a new look after the abomination that was "Spiderman 3" The problem is it isn't good to remake one piece of shit with another piece of shit. Spider man 1 and 2 were great. They did the character justice. This movie prosecutes Spider man Where he is standing or swinging. This movie follows the earlier spider man days with Gwen Stacy in the picture. There is this whole thing in the movie where u get to see Peter Parker and Gwen Stacy catch feelings. The problem is this is also terrible. The acting between Andrew Garfield and Emma stone is okay but the whole time u get the feeling that they are doing things off camera Spidey shouldn't be doing. Its extremely hard to believe that their romance is newly found. Also the editing is really bad. There is a scene in the hallway where Peter and Gwen are talking and the camera stays on them for about five seconds after the lines are delivered. It doesn't add sexual tension it makes them look like they're special ed. Now on to the tragedy we know was coming.... the death of Uncle Ben. The real tragedy was Andrew Garfield's crying. Wow was it bad. Now this leads to the climax which is Spiderman being born and it is, actually quite boring. I mean he swings on some chains for a few seconds he attacks a whole bunch of guys who look like David Guetta. Also he makes the web shooter devices without knowing he can shoot webs out of his hands. Maybe he thought it would come naturally with puberty. Plothole! Plothole! Plothole! So then we have Rhys Ifans as "The Lizard" although he is the doctor for most of the movie. He does some experiment to grow his hand back and winds up with a hand that looks like its engulfed in a magnum condom. After he sheds that he turns into the lizard and breaks a few things and thats it. Seriously more damage was caused by Andrew Garfields crying. It was that bad. Then there is the other villian in Denis Leary who is Gwen Stacy's father. He doesn't like Peter or Spidey but in this movie i was on his side. Spider man didn't really help too much and peter is very hard to like. Emma stone is hot in this movie though. Then there is the battle at the end which spans about 5 mins. And oh yea the cop gets stabbed by the lizard. No he didnt die from the 100 flights of stairs he climbed to get to where spiderman and lizard where. Plothole! Plothole! Plothole! Then as he is dieing he tells spidey to stay away from Gwenn and spidey agrees except he doesn't. He tells Gwen that there are some promises he cant keep. Really you're that shitty of a "hero" you can't keep a promise to stay away from a girl whos father died to help save you. Fuck spiderman. Also the CGI in the film.... No bueno. The coolest thing about the film is that it ends. Decent acting,Terrible direction,Lack of action and terrible editing make this an abomination. I give "The Amazing Spider Man" 3/10. Dont watch it. See you guys tomorrow when we review " The watch"

My name is Sadyn Angeles and I have just finished watching Dark Shadows. Starring actors such as Johnny Depp, Michelle Pfeiffer and Eva Green. I expected the film to be more preferable to my imagination. During the movie I felt like that plot was going else where and I felt I didn't really know the characters. The comic relief wasn't really helping the serious moments. Even though Johnny Depp is an AMAZING actor and can basically play any role that given to him, this role in particular seemed like many other of his roles. To be honest if this movie did not have an incredible cast, it would have bombed in the box office. I give Dark Shadows a 2 out of 5.

Hello everybody!!! We are back with our second review and it is going to be of the new smash alien hit..... PROMETHEUS!!!!!! Now we think it is very important that we start off by telling anyone who does not know that Prometheus is the prequel to Alien. We state this because a couple of the members here watched the whole movie with out knowing this. Now here is our review.... It was okay. Now everyone here was absolutely blown away by the Prometheus trailer. It is good to have an exciting trailer but sometimes this can lead to disappointment. Prometheus was one of those cases. The movie at many points confuses itself. Not in the sense that the plot is complex but in the sense that the characters don't often stick to their emotions. Alot of the major sequences in the film seem premature and not hyped up enough. Also there are some scenes that just don't need to be there. Now we don't like spoil scenes in our reviews but like we said this scene was not important. There is a scene where Idris Alba's character hits on Charlize Theron's character. This is added for no reason as the characters never even make eye contact with each other again. Also he got inside her pants by asking if she was a robot. Yea pick up lines just get weirder and weirder. Also the comedic lines don't really hit. The funniest parts are the scenes where someone is either running or screaming in terror.Maybe we're just sick in the head. But now on to the good stuff and by good stuff we mean good guy. Michael Fassbender who plays a cyborg in the film is amazing. Michael Fassbender shows us why he is a rising leading man and a man with great talent. From his posture to his ability to balance charm and discomfort he is amazing. Also strong performances from Idris Alba and Noomi rapace. The visuals were also strong as well. In the end we give Prometheus a 2.4 out of 5.

We are back!!! sorry for the long hiatus folks. last time on here we promised our first ever movie review and it will be of The Avengers.By now most people in the U.S...correction most people in the world have seen The Avengers. We caught it opening weekend and here's our review........ It is great. Now usually we don't enjoy movies based on so much action but this is different. The script writing for the avengers is amazing. Josh Wedon and his team weaved together the character's personalities perfectly. They matched the comedic ability to each actor in a way that would make Woody Allen stand and applaud. Not only did it have some of the best CGI and special effects work i have ever seen it is also a movie that can lean on its star cast and good directing at times. They were even able to make Hulk not only a show stopper but also a movie bad ass in our opinion. Every character is given their time to shine and the actors knocked it out of the park. Actors such as Robert Downey J.r, Chris evans, Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo execute perfectly along with some of the lesser characters. As for Loki(Tom Hiddleston) he didn't seem to be as much of a threat as he was in Thor but, after seeing Thanos after the credits it put things in perspective as too why he wasn't as dominate. Great special effects, comedic execution, good directing and the best action sequence i have ever seen all culminate to make this a flagpole in the super hero genre that has suffered for a long time. We give this film a 4.2 out of 5.

http://www.cinemablend.com/new/Sean-Penn-Talks-Join-Ben-Stiller-Secret-Life-Walter-Mitty-30576.html Hmm Sean Penn in talks to star in a comedy. He mostly does dramas but the man has two oscars and got his start as spicoli in fast times so we trust he can get the job done.
Sorry about not posting for a few days.We had some trouble signing in. lmaoo here is a great scene from one of our favorite movies and actors. The clip is from There Will Be Blood. Here we see why Daniel Day Lewis is a two time Oscar winner (winning for this film) and also shows how blending anger, sadness and a menacing grin makes for a great scene. Enjoy!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xOuzTWgWBcA

Urban Film Reel
Urban film reel is simply a blog where we appreciate film.where we complement the great actors and even appreciate the ones who find it tough to find constant work.where there is no distinguishing line between award winning movies and indie films shot with handhelds.Just the appreciation of films and actors and why film is great!
