Hello ladies and gentleman Angel here with another movie review for you!!! Today i'm talking about "Celeste and Jesse forever" Now i know what you're thinking " What the fuck is Celeste and Jesse forever?" Now this is a valid question considering there was clothes to no marketing done for this film but, this is a prime example that you do not need huge stars and a bloated budget to make a great indie comedy film. Now the film follows Rashida Jones and Andy Samberg who play the title characters. Off the bat i want to say that this is one of the most real on screen couple I have seen. I really hate when the lead love interests don't make sense. C'mon does anyone believe that Carey mulligan could get Ryan Gosling too fall in love with her... it's supposed to be the other way around isn't it. Now we see the chemistry between the two actors play out during the course of the film which sheds light on a great script. I have to give Rashida credit before this i thought she was just a background star but she really shines on screen and so does the script she wrote along with cast member Will McCormack. As for Andy Samberg he is forgiven for the abortion that was " That's my boy" Though he is less goofy as usual he creates a very genuine character that you just want to root for no matter what. Now we find out very early in the movie that forever doesn't really mean forever as this couple is split up. I thought that was a genius approach to this film. They totally turn you on your head and move the love story almost backwards. What of course happens next is they decide to date other people because they are pushed by their best friends who are played by Ari Graynor and Eric Christian Olsen who are also very solid as the sidekicks in the film. Now i am going to get in a bit deep here with the story. You find out that a girl Andy Samberg once hooked up with is pregnant and he is moving on. Now this sends another great message which is that with a relationship like theirs there is no real "moving on." This struggle to progress leaves the character with deep sorrowful emotions which bring the movie from goofy to sad really fast and well. Also The supporting cast deserves more praise. Elijah wood plays Rashida jones' gay friend (what a stretch), Emma Roberts plays a stuck up pop star and Will McCormack plays a stoner....that's it he is just a stoner but man does he play it well. All of these actors really seem to be the back bone of the film which allows the leads to perfect their roles. This movie switches paces perfectly and never loses it's indie yet sophisticated feel. Just beware though Samberg and Jones do jerk off vegetables in the film. It is weird but very fun to try. I recommend you do two things. The first is watch this film with a person you are in a relationship or a person you want to be in a relationship with. It really shows that you should cherish the person that makes you smile. The second is run to your grocery and get some celery and blue cheese cuz you're gonna want to jerk that celery off after watching the film. In all seriousness it is great for couples i know because i saw it with my girlfriend and does raise your appreciation. Also the lead characters reminded us of us. Yes we are fucked up people. The one gripe i have about the film is there is a point where it feels like they forget all about Samberg and just focus on Jones. I felt that could have been balanced better. A hilarious script, Great supporting acting and perfect directing approach make this the best indie comedy i have seen in years. I give Celeste and jesse forever a 8.5/10. Come back on wenseday as we will have a show review of " Breaking Bad" Season 1. Thanks and bye!

Hey guys back again with another movie review. Today we will be talking about the comedy film " The watch" Now a little interesting fact about the film is it was originally titled " Neighborhood Watch" but then was changed due to the trayvon martin case. Now this comedy follows four suburban townspeople as they try to keep their ever so deadly suburbs safe. Now when we first got wind of the movie we were excited to see the movie because of the cast. Now lets get right into the performances. Ben Stiller is Ben Stiller and Vince Vaughn is Vince Vaughn. What we mean by that is they basically play themselves from every other movie. Ben stiller is the sissy do the right thing guy and Vince Vaughn is the eccentric over the top guy. Although Vaughn was very funny in this film. When he calls his daughters boyfriend a boy toy and then asks whats his toy story i couldn't stop laughing. Also Jonah hill really kills in this film. He plays the dumb do whatever you say guy really well. Also the Indian British guy we'll call him Richard Ayoade (cuz its his name) was funny but also a bit annoying after awhile. As for Will Forte who plays a policeman he is soooooo annoying. I wanted to punch him in the face really hard. This is how i feel. The basic summary of the film is aliens come and they must defeat the aliens. Now wrap your heads around that and we can move on. The group forms as a result of a murder committed by one of the aliens. The first problem with the film is that they don't spend enough time stopping problems in the town. I know its the suburbs but the funniest part of the movie is when they catch these teenagers and bring them into "jail" That would have been great to see again. Instead u get aliens which makes the movie very generic. So after Vince Vaughn conveniently says there could be aliens around they go on the hunt. During they're little investigation they find a metal ball that shoots lasers and blows shit up. So what does the "Neighborhood Watch" do? They blow shit up. What a great group of guys who are obviously helping their community. Also how does a barn being blown up by lasers get overlooked by the cops who through the rest of the movie are incredibly nosy Plothole! Plothole! Plothole! Now as the film moves on u find aliens are among them and they must stop the aliens. They also reveal that some aliens have taken human form ie. The british guy and VV's daughters boyfriend. So they then have this epic battle inside of The alien base.... "Costco" just thinking about it makes me crack up. They of course win and save the day! But not the costco. Sadly the Costco got blown to shit. Poor Costco. Their are plothole problems with the film but we must remember it is a comedy and as far as jokes go the movie is actually really funny. If you like low brow comedy you will really enjoy this movie. The actors for the most part are funny and deliver really nicely. The plotholes in the film and the sometimes too low brow humor does bring the movie down a bit but it is still enjoyable. We give it a 7/10. Tomorrow we will be back with a review of " Celeste and Jesse Forever" That'll be good!

Here we are again with our second review of the day. This time it is a review of "The Amazing Spider Man" Now its hard to keep the word Amazing in the title sense it is a piece of shit. When i first heard they were remaking "Spiderman" I was excited. Spiderman honestly needed a new look after the abomination that was "Spiderman 3" The problem is it isn't good to remake one piece of shit with another piece of shit. Spider man 1 and 2 were great. They did the character justice. This movie prosecutes Spider man Where he is standing or swinging. This movie follows the earlier spider man days with Gwen Stacy in the picture. There is this whole thing in the movie where u get to see Peter Parker and Gwen Stacy catch feelings. The problem is this is also terrible. The acting between Andrew Garfield and Emma stone is okay but the whole time u get the feeling that they are doing things off camera Spidey shouldn't be doing. Its extremely hard to believe that their romance is newly found. Also the editing is really bad. There is a scene in the hallway where Peter and Gwen are talking and the camera stays on them for about five seconds after the lines are delivered. It doesn't add sexual tension it makes them look like they're special ed. Now on to the tragedy we know was coming.... the death of Uncle Ben. The real tragedy was Andrew Garfield's crying. Wow was it bad. Now this leads to the climax which is Spiderman being born and it is, actually quite boring. I mean he swings on some chains for a few seconds he attacks a whole bunch of guys who look like David Guetta. Also he makes the web shooter devices without knowing he can shoot webs out of his hands. Maybe he thought it would come naturally with puberty. Plothole! Plothole! Plothole! So then we have Rhys Ifans as "The Lizard" although he is the doctor for most of the movie. He does some experiment to grow his hand back and winds up with a hand that looks like its engulfed in a magnum condom. After he sheds that he turns into the lizard and breaks a few things and thats it. Seriously more damage was caused by Andrew Garfields crying. It was that bad. Then there is the other villian in Denis Leary who is Gwen Stacy's father. He doesn't like Peter or Spidey but in this movie i was on his side. Spider man didn't really help too much and peter is very hard to like. Emma stone is hot in this movie though. Then there is the battle at the end which spans about 5 mins. And oh yea the cop gets stabbed by the lizard. No he didnt die from the 100 flights of stairs he climbed to get to where spiderman and lizard where. Plothole! Plothole! Plothole! Then as he is dieing he tells spidey to stay away from Gwenn and spidey agrees except he doesn't. He tells Gwen that there are some promises he cant keep. Really you're that shitty of a "hero" you can't keep a promise to stay away from a girl whos father died to help save you. Fuck spiderman. Also the CGI in the film.... No bueno. The coolest thing about the film is that it ends. Decent acting,Terrible direction,Lack of action and terrible editing make this an abomination. I give "The Amazing Spider Man" 3/10. Dont watch it. See you guys tomorrow when we review " The watch"
Okay!!!! we are back with a movie review. We will be bringing you two reviews today so lets get started with the first one. "Premium Rush"  Now we put the trailer above so u can get a feel for the movie. Now "premium rush" is a story about bike messengers in new york... if that doesn't get the juices flowing i dont know what will. Joseph Gordon Levitt plays a bike messenger who doesn't play by the rules. Yea shit gets serious on his bicycle. Now the main conflict is between he and michael shannon who is a very we'll say dysfunctional cop. Joseph gordon levitt has a package that Michael shannon wants. * insert dirty joke* So he spends the movie trying to stop JGL from delivering this package. Now this sets up numerous chase scenes which would be awesome if they weren't on fucking bikes. All of the bike scenes are done well but i kept getting the feeling that a car reaches speeds a bike does not, because that is a fact. Also the characters in this film are extremely hard to like. There is this one guy who is JGL's adversary and he tries to steal JGL's girl. He is one of the most annoying characters ever. Now we get to the villain in Michael Shannon. Michael shannon is a great actor and he is good in the movie the problem is the terrible script. He starts off really serious and badass then he turns into a homicidal version of Barney. The movie also tries to balance things that it simply cannot with a script like this. There are some cool parts like this effect where when JGL ( count how many times i say JGL) gets into a pickle he can visualize what to do. Although when they show him getting hit by the cars it is hilarious. True comic relief. At the end of it all "Premium Rush" is very empty movie which tries to be an action movie it cannot be. Annoying characters, bad script and bad direction take this movie down a few notches. I give it a 5/10. Come back later for a review of the worst movie of the year later " The amazing spider man" See ya!

Today is Andrew Garfields birthday!!!!!! We believe that Andrew is one of the best up and coming actors in Hollywood.  He has showed his talent in films like The social Network and Never let me go he also has risen to super stardom by taking on the role of "Spiderman". We cant wait to see what is next for this shining star. Happy birthday Mr. Garfield. Above is what we believe to be the best scene of Andrew's career. Enjoy!

My name is Sadyn Angeles and I have just finished watching Dark Shadows. Starring actors such as Johnny Depp, Michelle Pfeiffer and Eva Green. I expected the film to be more preferable to my imagination. During the movie I felt like that plot was going else where and I felt I didn't really know the characters. The comic relief wasn't really helping the serious moments. Even though Johnny Depp is an AMAZING actor and can basically play any role that given to him, this role in particular seemed like many other of his roles. To be honest if this movie did not have an incredible cast, it would have bombed in the box office. I give Dark Shadows a 2 out of 5.

Good morning people we are back with our actor of the day..... Today's actor is Daniel Day Lewis!!!! We at Urban Film Reel have been debating who the greatest actors of all time are to compose a list for you guys.  There are two things that have never happened: Keeanu Reeves has never been in the duscussion and Daniel Day Lewis has never dropped out of the top 5. We don't know what else to say but that he is the perfect actor. Not only is he dedicated to his roles like no other but he is the ultimate professional. The first any of us bared his face was in "There will be blood" where he delivered one of the best performances we have ever seen and picked up an Oscar for it. It compelled us to go back through his career to only be wowed and discover another Oscar performance in "My left foot" He began his career in 1982 playing a street thug in "Ghandi" he since then has been absolutely amazing and a standard for what an actor should be like. Here's to you DDL.... Be sure to check out his films like There will be blood, My left foot, In the name of the father and Gangs of New York. Also be on the lookout for the Biopic "Lincoln" Which will have DDL playing the man on the penny. In the meanwhile above is a great clip from "My left foot"
